Deciding what to do for a date night can be challenging. However, there are endless options for date nights in Minneapolis during the Summer. Check out three Minneapolis staples in the Loring Park Neighborhood to create your perfect date night!
Loring Park Neighborhood
The Loring Park neighborhood in Minneapolis is located just south of downtown and is centered around Loring Park, a lush green space that serves as a hub for outdoor activities. Loring Park also has an artistic spirit, as it is home to the Walker Art Center, which showcases contemporary art exhibits and hosts cultural events. Additionally, there are dining options ranging from cafés to restaurants to breweries. The neighborhood’s walkability makes it the perfect location for a fulfilling date night!
Lakes and Legends Brewing Company
Start your date night in Minneapolis with a handcrafted brew by going to Lakes and Legends Brewing Company. From quality beer to a warm ambiance, this brewery is a great way to kick off your night! There is often live music that helps add to the lively atmosphere!
Minneapolis Sculpture Garden / Skyline Mini Golf
Once you are finished drinking a refreshing beer, walk or drive to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden just across the highway from the brewery. The Skyline Mini Golf at the Walker Arts Center gets quite busy so I would head inside and put your name on the waiting list. If there is a long wait, use this time to walk through the outdoor Sculpture Garden, admiring the famous Spoon and Cherry and many other art sculptures. Once you are able to, head inside and you will make your way to the Walker rooftop to enjoy the evening mini golfing. The art continues through the designs of the mini golf holes and you will be able to admire the beautiful Minneapolis skyline.
Dinner at Café Lurcat
After mini golfing, head back across the highway (walking or driving) to have a delicious dinner at Café Lurcat. The stylish interior of this restaurant, featuring sleek design elements and an inviting atmosphere, creates the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. While the whole menu is incredible, my favorite items include the Ginger Fried Rice, Apple, Cheese & Chive Salad, Miso Sea Bass, and Mini Doughnuts for dessert.
